Destination Viking Integrity Policy

 

Responsibility

The Destination Viking Association (DVA) is responsible for the processing of personal information collected on the DVA web sites.


Collected data & purpose

 

Member database

Information about members of the Destination Viking Association is stored in the membership database. The information kept includes the name of the organisation, contact name, phone number, e-mail address, address, organisation web site address, a brief description of the member organisation, and information keeping track of paid membership fees. 

This information can only be accessed by members of the DVA board, and information will not be shared with any third parties. The information is stored to be able to administer the membership of the association and keep members updated with information concerning the activities of the association. 

The member information will be removed from our system if a member decides to leave the Destination Viking Association. If the annual membership fee has not been paid the information is kept in the database for a year in case the member wishes to again become an active member of the DVA. 

Seminar registration

The Destination Viking Association provides online registration forms for participation in some seminars organised by the DVA or projects the DVA is involved in. These forms collect information such as the organisation the participant belongs to, the name of the participant, phone number, e-mail address, billing address (if there is a participation fee), the date of arrival and departure, intended participation in activities and information about special needs and requests. 

This information will only be shared with the organisers of the seminar for administration and planning purposes.

Cookies

The Destination Viking Association web sites uses cookies in order to keep track of session data when a DVA member is logged on to the web site. Session cookies are not used to track regular visitors of the web site, other than by our third party analytics service provider (see below).

Visitor statistics

The Destination Viking Association web sites use the third party service Google Analytics to collect visitor statistics for our web site. This service uses cookies to track unique visits to the web site. Please see the  Google web site for detaljed information about which information they collect and how it is used.


Your rights

The membership and seminar registration information we store is collected directly from the members of the Destination Viking Association.

If your information is registered by the DVA for these purposes you may request a compilation of all information we have stored about you. If the collected information is inaccurate you may request to have it updated.

You can request to have your information removed from our records. Depending on its use they may affect the ability of the Destination Viking Association to keep you informed of the activities of the association.

If desired, tracking cookies may be blocked using functionality present in modern web browsers without it affecting web site functionality by regular visitors to our web sites.
